Rejoicing in the One Who Saves

“For today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
— Luke 2:11, NASB

We rejoice because we have a Savior—not a concept, not a symbol, but a Person: Yeshua, the Son of the Living God. He did not come to condemn the world, but to save it (John 3:17). He entered into time, took on flesh, and came for you. Let that truth sink in. Before you ever sought Him, He came seeking and saving the lost (Luke 19:10). Indeed, we find true joy when rejoicing in the Savior.

Throughout Scripture, this mission of salvation is declared, echoed, and fulfilled. From the angel’s announcement to Joseph (“He will save His people from their sins,” Matthew 1:21), to the bold declarations of Paul (“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners,” 1 Timothy 1:15), the heart of heaven beats with one glorious theme: rescue. This is not temporary relief. This is eternal transformation, a transformation that evokes rejoicing in the Savior’s redemption.

The reason for our rejoicing is not in signs, wonders, or works—but in the assurance of our salvation. Heaven knows your name. The Son has brought you near. You were once far off, an enemy of God by sin and nature. But now, through Yeshua’s blood, you are reconciled (Romans 5:10). When we are reconciled, we embrace rejoicing in the Savior, who holds our future secure in the Father’s house, where many rooms await (John 14:2).

You don’t merely survive this life—you belong to another Kingdom. “Our citizenship is in heaven,” Paul wrote (Philippians 3:20). You are not waiting for escape—you are waiting for the King. And when He appears, He brings reward (Matthew 6:1), inheritance (1 Peter 1:4), and the restoration of all things (Romans 11:26).

The salvation Yeshua offers is not a one-time transaction—it is eternal, active, and ongoing. He not only saved you—He keeps you. He not only forgave your sin—He intercedes for you now (Hebrews 7:25). He is the Good Shepherd who carries you when you are weak. He is the Head of the Body (Ephesians 5:23), the One in whom all the promises of God find their yes (2 Corinthians 1:20). His grace sustains, His mercy restores, and His Spirit empowers you daily.

Even now, as you read these words, He is drawing you deeper—into trust, into holiness, into love. Because this is not only about being saved from something—it is about being saved for something: for communion, for glory, for everlasting joy in Him.

“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

So how do we respond? By growing in grace. By letting go of hollow religion and pressing into the Person of Christ. He is not a distant figure from ancient texts—He is your Savior today. And He invites you to grow in Him, to walk by the Spirit, to rejoice in the hope of glory, rejoicing continually in the Savior’s presence and his promise never to leave or forsake us.

This world will fade, but the name of Jesus will never fade. Nations rise and fall, but “the Savior of the world” (1 John 4:14) reigns forever. You are not alone. You are not forgotten. You are redeemed.

O Savior King, the skies declare
The mercy seated in Your stare.
You lift the poor, You heal the shame,
And heaven knows Your holy Name.
My joy is not in what I do,
But in the One who carries through.

Prayer

Father, thank You for sending Yeshua—my Savior, my Lord, my King. I rejoice that my name is written in heaven. Let me never grow numb to the miracle of Your mercy. Grow me in grace, anchor me in truth, and set my feet firm in the hope of salvation. Keep me close. Teach me to rejoice not just in blessings, but in Your presence alone. Yeshua be glorified in me today. Amen.

Choose This Day

Come to the One Sent by the Father

Beloved, you who hunger for truth and long for something more—listen. The Father sent the Son, not to judge you, but to save you (John 3:17). Yeshua, the Lamb of God, was not an afterthought nor a distant Savior. He came in the fullness of time, sent by the Father, bearing heaven’s authority and the weight of divine love.

The prophets foresaw Him. “I have called You in righteousness… and will appoint You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the nations” (Isaiah 42:6). “Come near to Me, listen to this: From the beginning I have not spoken in secret, from the time it took place, I was there. And now the Lord God has sent Me, and His Spirit” (Isaiah 48:16). And again: “Many nations will join themselves to the Lord in that day… and will become My people” (Zechariah 2:11). His coming was foreseen, even as one sent by His Father.

This is that day. Yeshua is the Sent One, and He is calling you now.

God’s Faithfulness and My Journey

My life bears witness to this truth. Years ago in Nashua, NH, I encountered Yeshua through my girlfriend. I accepted Him into my heart, and everything changed. My first pastor, Kyn, baptized me in his backyard pool, and El Shaddai began a transforming work in me, just as it is written: “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6, NASB). This transformation, orchestrated by the One sent by the Father, marked the beginning of a new journey.

Later, I moved to Syracuse, NY, to help plant a church. I took on many roles and became an ordained pastor. But under the weight of ministry, I faltered. I burned out. Divorced and disillusioned, I walked away—not only from my calling but slowly from God. I spent nearly twenty years in a wilderness of silence.

But God wasn’t finished with me.

In October 2023, while looking for retirement income, I began writing again. What began as a practical step turned into a divine encounter. The Lord led me to combine my photography with devotional writing—and that’s when breath entered dry bones. “This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life” (Ezekiel 37:5). The Holy Spirit stirred, and my soul awakened. Where I once avoided people, I now pursue them to share His love. His Spirit now guides every step.

He has spared me from death, carried me through sickness, and brought peace into my chaos. “The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7, NASB). He supplied what I lacked (Philippians 4:19), strengthened me when I had nothing left (2 Corinthians 12:9, AMP), and healed wounds I didn’t even understand (Jeremiah 30:17, AMP). Through His infinite grace, the Father sent His peace into my chaos.

I testify today: God’s promises are unshakable. He has never failed me.

The One Who Was Sent

Yeshua did not come on His own. He was sent. Indeed, sent by the Father for a purpose.

“I have not come of Myself, but He sent Me” (John 8:42).

“This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent” (John 6:29).

“He who receives Me receives Him who sent Me” (John 13:20).

To believe in the Son is to believe in the Father. To reject the Son is to reject the One who sent Him. Yeshua spoke only what the Father gave Him (John 12:49), and performed works that bore witness to His divine sending (John 5:36).

He was the final word, the beloved Son whom the Father said, “They will respect My Son” (Matthew 21:37). Will you respect Him? Will you receive Him?

The Call

Let my story speak to your heart. If El Shaddai could awaken a weary servant, bring peace to years of silence, and breathe life into dry bones—He can do the same for you. The One sent by the Father continues to call and restore.

“Just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you” (John 20:21). He sends us still—to love, to serve, to speak truth, and to walk in the power of the Spirit. And this is eternal life: “that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3).

Come. Believe. Receive the One sent by the Father.

Prayer

El Shaddai, You who sent Your Son in love and truth—open the hearts of those reading now. Let them feel the weight of Your glory and the tenderness of Your mercy. Draw the wandering home. Revive the weary. Let the breath of heaven fall again. I thank You for my journey—for every valley and every restoration. May it point back to You. Use me now to serve Your people and speak Your truth. In the mighty name of Yeshua, the Sent One—Amen.

In Christ Alone: Our Unshakable Foundation

Life is uncertain. Trials shake us, fears rise, and the world offers no lasting security. But there is one foundation that cannot be moved—Yeshua HaMashiach, the Messiah, in whom all things hold together (Colossians 1:17). When storms rage, when doubts creep in, when the weight of sin feels unbearable, we must stand on this truth: our hope, our salvation, and our victory are found in Christ alone.

The Word Became Flesh: God’s Promise Fulfilled

From the beginning, God planned our redemption. He did not leave us in our sin, but in love beyond comprehension, He sent His Son to dwell among us (John 1:14). Yeshua emptied Himself, taking on human flesh (Philippians 2:6-7), so that He might carry the weight of our sin and fulfill the Law we could never keep.

Through His perfect life, He demonstrated what it means to walk in obedience and truth. But it was not enough for Him to live as an example—He came to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

The Cross: Where Love and Justice Meet

The cross is the place where justice and mercy intersect. We were condemned by sin, but God, in His love, made a way for redemption. Scripture says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

At the moment of His crucifixion, Yeshua bore our sins, taking upon Himself the full wrath of God. The weight of our failures, our shame, and our guilt was nailed to the cross with Him (Colossians 2:14-15). And when He breathed His last, it was not a defeat—it was the victory cry of redemption.

The Empty Tomb: Death Defeated

But the story did not end at the cross. On the third day, Yeshua rose from the grave, proving that sin and death had no hold on Him (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). The resurrection was not just a miracle—it was the fulfillment of the promise that those who trust in Him would also be raised to eternal life.

Scripture proclaims, “Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:55-57). Because of the resurrection, we no longer fear death. We have the blessed assurance that in Christ, we are alive forever.

Nothing Can Separate Us From His Love

In a world filled with uncertainty, one truth remains unshakable: we are secure in Christ. The Apostle Paul declared, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).

If you are weary, if you feel the weight of your sin, if doubts whisper that you are too far gone—cling to this truth: Yeshua has already paid the price. He has already won the victory. Your salvation is secure in Him.

The Unshakable Rock

Imagine standing on the edge of the sea during a storm. The winds howl, the waves crash, and everything around you seems unstable. But in the midst of it all, you stand upon a massive, immovable rock. No matter how fiercely the storm rages, that rock will not move.

Yeshua is that rock. The world will shift, trials will come, but those who stand on Him will never be shaken (Psalm 62:6).

Final Call: Are You Standing on Christ?

If you have placed your trust in Yeshua, your salvation is secure. You are no longer bound by sin, no longer enslaved by fear. You are held in the unshakable grip of God’s love.

But if you have not yet surrendered to Him, do not delay. Now is the time to stand on the Rock of your salvation. Call upon the name of Yeshua, and He will make you new.

Let us pray:

Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation found in Yeshua alone. Help us to stand firm in Your love, to trust in the power of the cross, and to walk in the victory of the resurrection. May we never seek another foundation but Christ alone. In Yeshua’s name, amen.
