Rejoicing in God Our Strength

Beloved, listen carefully. Though the night falls and darkness spreads its quiet veil, you are not forsaken. You are not forgotten. Lift your eyes from the barrenness and behold the One who holds the stars in His right hand. Rejoicing in God our strength is not an empty shout; it is the anthem of the faithful, the testimony of those who have tasted and seen that God is good.

Hear the voice of Habakkuk, a voice like yours, burdened by the sight of desolation: “Though the fig tree does not blossom, and there is no fruit on the vines… yet I will [choose to] rejoice in the LORD; I will [choose to] shout in exultation in the [victorious] God of my salvation!”(Habakkuk 3:17-18, AMP). See how he does not deny the barrenness. He does not close his eyes to the empty stalls and withered fields. No, beloved, he stares at the ruin and still chooses to rejoice.

And why? Because he knows the Lord. He knows the One who said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you” (Hebrews 13:5, NASB). He knows the One who promised, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9, NASB). He knows the One whose strength is made perfect when your strength fails.

Rejoicing in God our strength is a declaration, a holy rebellion against despair. It is the cry of a soul anchored not in circumstances, but in the unchanging faithfulness of God. Even David, the sweet psalmist of Israel, sang in the night, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread?”(Psalm 27:1, NASB). Fear flees from the heart that is fixed on God.

Beloved, understand this: you are called to more than survival. You are called to walk in victory. “The Lord GOD is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army]; He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet and makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence] on my high places [of challenge and responsibility]” (Habakkuk 3:19, AMP). He does not merely steady your feet; He calls you to high places. He sets you on heights where the air is thin and the climb is steep, but the view is glorious.

Do you not remember what Paul wrote? “But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37, NASB). Not barely conquer. Not survive. Overwhelmingly conquer — because He is your strength. Because God is faithful. Because the One who calls you is able to keep you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of His glory (Jude 24).

You must not let your soul be weighed down by the emptiness of the fig tree or the barrenness of the vine. Lift up your head. The harvest of the Lord is not measured in the fruit of the earth, but in the fruit of the Spirit: “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23, NASB). These fruits never fail. These vines are never barren. And in them, you will find the strength to rejoice.

So tonight, beloved, rejoice in God your strength. Let your praise ascend like incense before the throne. Let your song be loud even in the silence. For He who promised is faithful, and He will not fail you. The One who steadied Habakkuk, the One who upheld David, the One who emboldened Paul — He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Let us be found faithful. Let us be found rejoicing.

Prayer

Father, we bow before You, choosing tonight rejoicing in God our strength. Though our eyes see little, our hearts see much. We trust in Your goodness, we lean upon Your everlasting arms. Teach us to walk with steady feet on the high places, not shrinking back in fear, but pressing forward in faith. Fill our hearts with the unshakable joy that comes only from Your Spirit. Let our song rise before You, a song of confidence, a song of trust. In the mighty name of Yeshua, our Lord and King, Amen.

God’s Faithfulness and Promises

In the beginning, God spoke, and all creation obeyed. From the first breath of life to the stars flung across the heavens, the Word of God stood sure. God’s faithfulness and promises are not mere whispers in the wind; they are the bedrock upon which all life stands.

Throughout the ages, God has never broken a promise. When He covenanted with Noah, He sealed it with a bow in the clouds (Genesis 9:13, NASB). When He spoke to Abraham, He swore by Himself, for there was no one greater (Hebrews 6:13, NASB). In every generation, God’s covenant love has remained steadfast.

“Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His faithfulness to a thousand generations for those who love Him and keep His commandments.” (Deuteronomy 7:9, NASB)

The faithfulness of God is not abstract. It is not distant. It breathes into the heart of every believer. When we are faithless, He remains faithful (2 Timothy 2:13, NASB). His promises do not depend on man’s strength, but on His eternal nature.

The greatest expression of God’s faithfulness and promises is found in Yeshua, our Messiah. In Him, every promise finds its “Yes” and its “Amen” (2 Corinthians 1:20, NASB). The covenant of old, sealed by the blood of bulls and goats, gave way to a better covenant, established on better promises (Hebrews 8:6, NASB).

Beloved, consider the promises of God:

  • He promised never to leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5, NASB).
  • He promised to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11, NASB).
  • He promised eternal life to all who believe (John 3:16, NASB).
  • He promised to finish the good work He began in you (Philippians 1:6, NASB).
Prayer of agreement

God’s faithfulness and promises are not fragile threads but cords of love that cannot be broken.

In our lives, we see His faithfulness in every sunrise, in every answered prayer, and even in every waiting season. His Word stands eternal. When the world shakes, God remains unshakable.

Abraham waited years to see the son God promised. Israel wandered the desert but eventually entered the Promised Land. David, anointed king in his youth, waited decades to sit on the throne. In all of this, God’s faithfulness and promises proved true.

Let this truth sink deep into your soul: God does not lie. He does not waver. What He has spoken, He will accomplish. “God is not a man, that He would lie, nor a son of man, that He would change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19, NASB)

Child of God, you are living proof of His covenant-keeping love. You are a testimony that God’s faithfulness and promises endure. Every breath you take is grace. Every step you walk by faith is a declaration: “My God is faithful.”

Do not grow weary in the waiting. Trust Him. Hold fast to the promises. For it is written: “Let us hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23, NASB)

God’s faithfulness and promises are the anchor for your soul. In joy and sorrow, in plenty and want, He remains the same. Press into Him. Seek His face. Remember that His covenant with you is sealed by the blood of Yeshua and cannot be undone.

Let us pray.

Father, we stand in awe of Your faithfulness. You have never failed. You keep all Your promises. Anchor our hearts in Your truth. Teach us to trust You even when we do not see. Help us to walk by faith, knowing that You are working all things for our good. Draw us closer to You. Let us live as testimonies of Your unchanging love. In the name of Yeshua, our covenant-keeping King, we pray. Amen.

Arise, Return, Seek Him

For the word of the LORD is right, and all His work is done in faithfulness. Every word God speaks is true, unshaken, and just. There is no deception in Him, no shifting shadow of doubt. His Word established the heavens, set the boundaries of the earth, and upholds all things by His power. What He declares, He fulfills—His promises do not waver, nor does He act in error. Everything He does is clothed in perfect faithfulness. What He has spoken over your life, He will bring to completion. Trust in His Word, for it is the foundation that cannot be moved. In His faithfulness, you will never be forsaken.

He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD. God does not turn a blind eye to the affairs of men—He delights in righteousness and upholds justice. He is the righteous Judge who sees every heart and executes His will with perfect equity. Though the world is filled with corruption, His lovingkindness remains, reaching into every dark place, offering mercy to all who will receive it. From the beauty of creation to the mercies renewed each morning, His steadfast love surrounds you. Even in trials, His presence does not waver. He calls you to trust in His justice, to abide in His love, and to live in the confidence that His goodness is not scarce but overflowing, filling the earth with His unfailing grace. Arise and seek Him, for His justice and righteousness are unfailing.

Yeshua, You are the bridge—the only way to the Father. When sin separated us, You made a way where there was none. You stretched out Your arms on the cross, bearing the weight of our sin, paying the price to reconcile us to God. Your righteousness and justice demanded atonement, but Your lovingkindness provided the sacrifice. Now, through faith in You, we are no longer bound by sin but covered in Your grace.

Lord, let us never take for granted the mercy You have shown. Draw us deeper into Your presence, that we may walk in righteousness and live in the fullness of Your love. Teach us to trust in Your faithfulness, to stand firmly on Your Word, and to reflect Your justice in all we do. Let our lives shine with the light of Your kingdom, a testimony of Your unfailing goodness. Arise and seek Him daily, and your life will be transformed.

Therefore, let us shake off the sin that so easily entangles. Hebrews 12:1-2 (NASB) – “Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith.” Do not carry what Yeshua has already set you free from. Break off the chains the enemy has placed upon you—chains of fear, doubt, complacency, and compromise. Have you settled into a life of comfort, trapped in a rut that keeps you from pressing into the fullness of God? Now is the time to arise. No more passivity. No more lukewarm devotion. Return to the Lord with all your heart! Isaiah 55:6-7 (NASB) – “Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked abandon his way, And the unrighteous person his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.” He is calling you to seek Him—not casually, not when it is convenient, but with urgency, with hunger, with a heart that refuses to be satisfied with anything less than His presence. Truly, arise and seek Him, for His presence is your refuge.

Joel 2:12-13 (NASB) – “Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping, and mourning; And tear your heart and not merely your garments.” Now return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger, abounding in mercy, And relenting of catastrophe.”

“And My people who are called by My Name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14, NASB) This is the invitation. This is the promise. But notice the condition: humble yourself, pray, seek His face, and turn from sin. This is not a suggestion—it is a call to action. Yeshua will heal the land, but He will do it through us. We are His vessels, His hands and feet, but we must first be made right before Him. How can we call for revival if our own hearts remain cold? How can we stand in the gap for our nation if we are still entangled in sin? The work begins in us. Humble yourself. Repent. Pray. Seek His face with desperation. He is ready to move, ready to pour out His Spirit, but He is waiting for a people who are fully surrendered, fully consecrated, and willing to be purified in His refining fire. Arise and seek Him, for He is faithful.

This is not about empty words or religious actions—it is about a heart posture that cries out, “Lord, cleanse me, use me, and let Your glory flow through me.” We cannot expect transformation in the world if we are not first transformed by His presence. The land will be healed, but first, the Church must arise in holiness. First, the remnant must return in full devotion. He is calling you deeper, calling you to be set apart, calling you to be an instrument of His righteousness. Will you lay down everything and seek Him with all your heart? The time is now. Arise. Return. Pursue Him, and watch what He will do through you- seek Him with all your heart, and you will find His grace and guidance.

Press In and Seek the Lord’s Presence

Beloved, there is a longing within the heart of every believer—a desire to go beyond the surface and press into the depths of God’s presence. This is not a shallow pursuit; it is a holy hunger that drives us to seek Him with all we are. Scripture calls us to this pursuit: “Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity], and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13, AMP). We must press in and seek the Lord’s presence every day.

Think of Paul and Silas, beaten and chained in a dark prison. They did not focus on their pain or despair; instead, they lifted their voices in prayer and worship. “But about midnight when Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God… suddenly there was a great earthquake, so [powerful] that the very foundations of the prison were shaken; and at once all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened” (Acts 16:25-26, AMP). When they pressed into God through prayer and worship, heaven responded. This is the power of pursuing and seeking the Lord’s presence with your whole heart—chains break, walls fall, and freedom comes.

In your own life, this same invitation stands. Go deeper in your prayers. Press further in your worship. Seek harder, not because God is far away, but because He is drawing you closer. Let your heart echo the psalmist: “As the deer pants [longingly] for the water brooks, so my soul pants [longingly] for You, O God” (Psalm 42:1, AMP). Such longing is not born of duty but of love, a recognition that apart from Him, we can do nothing. Therefore, press in and seek the Lord’s presence with dedication.

Each day brings new challenges, and with them, a deeper need for His presence. Yesterday’s touch will not sustain you today. “It is because of the Lord’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23, AMP). His faithfulness is steady, and His presence is ever-available, but He invites us to press in, to seek Him with greater urgency, for there is always more of Him to discover.

This pressing in is not about striving but about surrender. It is about letting go of distractions and setting your heart fully on Him. Prayer becomes the language of your dependence, and worship becomes the expression of your love. Together, prayer and worship create a sacred space where God moves powerfully. When we combine our petitions with praise, we are transformed. “And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory” (2 Corinthians 3:18, AMP). Thus, we press in and seek the Lord’s presence.

To press in is to recognize that God is not finished with you. He is constantly calling you higher, challenging you to leave behind complacency and step into the fullness of His purpose. “I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14, AMP). This upward call is not a one-time event; it is a daily journey, one that requires perseverance and passion.

Imagine the freedom and breakthrough that come when you press into Him fully. Chains fall, fears dissolve, and the glory of God fills the space where worship rises. He does not withhold Himself from those who seek Him; rather, He delights in meeting them in their pursuit.

Prayer for Deeper Hunger and Breakthrough

Lord, we come to You with open hearts, longing to go deeper into Your presence. Teach us to press in with prayer and worship, knowing that You are faithful to respond. We desire more of You, Lord—more of Your presence, more of Your power, more of Your transforming love.

Break every chain that holds us back, every distraction that keeps us from seeking You with all our hearts. Just as You met Paul and Silas in their midnight hour, meet us in ours. Shake the foundations of our lives, open the doors we cannot open, and lead us into the freedom only You can give.

Father, let us hunger and thirst for You like never before. May our prayers and worship be the evidence of our dependence on You and our love for You. Transform us, Lord, from glory to glory, making us more like Jesus every day. Let us not be satisfied with yesterday’s touch but draw us closer, moment by moment, into the fullness of Your presence. Press in and seek the Lord’s presence continually.

We surrender to You, Lord. Take us higher. Take us deeper. Fill us until our lives overflow with Your glory. We love You, we seek You, and we press in for more of You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God’s Attributes: Understanding His Divine Qualities

One of the most emphasized qualities of God in the New Testament is His love. The apostle John profoundly states, “God is love” (1 John 4:8, AMP), highlighting that love is not merely an action of God but His very essence. This divine love is vividly demonstrated in John 3:16: “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” These scriptures emphasize God’s attributes of love and compassion.

The Faithfulness of God

God’s faithfulness is a cornerstone of His relationship with His people. He is unwavering and reliable, always keeping His promises. In 1 Corinthians 1:9, Paul assures believers, “God is faithful [He is reliable, trustworthy and ever true to His promise—He can be depended on]; through Him you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” Similarly, 2 Thessalonians 3:3 confirms, “But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” The faithfulness of God is one of His key attributes that provides us with security and hope.

God’s Omnipotence

God’s omnipotence, or His ability to do all things, is a testament to His supreme power. This is clearly affirmed in Ephesians 3:20: “Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us.” Furthermore, Jeremiah 32:17 declares, “Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too difficult or too wonderful for You.” This omnipotence is a defining attribute of God’s nature.

The Truthfulness of God

God’s truthfulness assures us that He is the ultimate source of truth and His word is reliable. Jesus Himself proclaims in John 14:6, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” Additionally, in Titus 1:2, Paul writes, “In the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages began.” This commitment to truth is one of the attributes of God that grounds our faith.

God’s Sovereignty

God’s sovereignty indicates His supreme authority and control over all creation. Psalm 103:19 states, “The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all.” Similarly, Romans 8:28 assures us of God’s sovereign work in our lives: “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” Recognizing God’s sovereignty helps us trust in His perfect plan.

The Mercy of God

God’s mercy is His compassion and forgiveness toward us, despite our shortcomings. Ephesians 2:4–5 highlights this attribute: “But God, being [so very] rich in mercy, because of His great and wonderful love with which He loved us, even when we were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of our sins, He made us [spiritually] alive together with Christ.” Additionally, Lamentations 3:22–23 reminds us, “It is because of the Lord’s lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed, Because His [tender] compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.” God’s mercy is a profound attribute that offers us continual grace.

The Justice of God

God’s justice ensures that He is fair and righteous in all His ways. Deuteronomy 32:4 proclaims, “He is the Rock, His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without iniquity (injustice), Just and upright is He.” Moreover, Psalm 9:8 says, “And He will judge the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity.” This justice is one of the attributes of God that assures us of His righteous nature.

The Holiness of God

God’s holiness sets Him apart from all creation, signifying His purity and moral perfection. Isaiah 6:3 declares, “And one called out to another, saying, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is filled with His glory.’” In the New Testament, 1 Peter 1:16 echoes this, stating, “Because it is written, ‘You shall be holy (set apart), for I am holy.’” God’s holiness is a fundamental attribute that demands our reverence.

The Grace of God

God’s grace is His unmerited favor toward humanity. Ephesians 2:8–9 emphasizes, “For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God.” Moreover, 2 Corinthians 12:9 affirms, “But He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.’” God’s grace is a vital attribute that enriches our lives.

God’s Omnipresence

God’s omnipresence signifies that He is present everywhere at all times. Psalm 139:7–10 beautifully illustrates this: “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me.” Jeremiah 23:24 also affirms, “‘Can a man hide himself in hiding places So that I do not see him?’ declares the Lord. ‘Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?’ declares the Lord.” Recognizing God’s omnipresence assures us of His constant companionship.

God’s Omniscience

God’s omniscience denotes His all-knowing nature. Psalm 147:5 proclaims, “Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.” Likewise, 1 John 3:20 reassures us, “Whenever our heart convicts us [in guilt]; for God is greater than our heart, and He knows all things [nothing is hidden from Him because we are in His hands].” This omniscience is an attribute of God that provides us with confidence in His perfect wisdom.

God’s Omnipotence

God’s omnipotence, His all-powerful nature, is evident throughout Scripture. Revelation 19:6 declares, “Then I heard something like the shout of a vast multitude, and like the boom of many pounding waves, and like the roar of mighty peals of thunder, saying, ‘Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all reigns.’” Similarly, Jeremiah 32:17 acknowledges, “Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too difficult or too wonderful for You.” God’s omnipotence is a key attribute that underscores His unlimited power.

The Immutability of God

God’s immutability means He is unchanging in His nature, character, and promises. Malachi 3:6 states, “For I am the Lord, I do not change [but remain faithful to My covenant with you]; That is why you, O sons of Jacob, have not come to an end.” Hebrews 13:8 reinforces this, “Jesus Christ is [eternally changeless, always] the same yesterday and today and forever.” The immutability of God is a reassuring attribute that provides stability in our faith.

God’s Wisdom

God’s wisdom is perfect and unparalleled. Romans 16:27 praises, “To the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forevermore! Amen.” Proverbs 3:19 also reflects this attribute: “The Lord by His wisdom has founded the earth; By His understanding He has established the heavens.” The wisdom of God is an attribute that guides us in all aspects of life.

As we contemplate the boundless love, faithfulness, power, and wisdom of God, let us be moved to rededicate our lives to Him. Our God, who is eternally unchanging and omnipresent, calls us into a deeper relationship with Him, promising never to leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). His truth stands firm in a world of uncertainty, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Let us respond to His sovereign grace and love by committing our hearts wholly to Him, trusting in His perfect plans and purposes for our lives (Romans 8:28). May we live as reflections of His holiness and righteousness, proclaiming His excellencies to the world (1 Peter 2:9). Choose This Day

Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Children of God, listen and heed the Word of the Lord. Our lives, though precious, are but a fleeting breath, a vapor that vanishes in the morning mist. As it is written in James 4:14, “You are merely a vapor that is visible for a little while and then vanishes.” We are like grass that withers and flowers that fall, but the Word of our God stands forever (Isaiah 40:8).

Do not waste this brief moment, for our days are numbered before the Almighty. Psalm 90:12 implores us, “So teach us to number our days, that we may cultivate and bring to You a heart of wisdom.” Every heartbeat, every breath is a gift from God, a chance to turn from sin and embrace the light of His truth.

Prepare the way for the Lord in your hearts! Make straight paths for Him in your lives. As John the Baptist cried out in the wilderness, so must we cry out today: “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!” (Matthew 3:2). The ax is already laid at the root of the trees; every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire (Matthew 3:10).

Now is the time to serve the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind. Embrace each day with fervor, dedicating every moment to His service. Do not be lukewarm, but be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord (Romans 12:11). Spread His love, proclaim His salvation, and live righteously in His sight.

Do not let the fleeting nature of life cause you to despair, but let it drive you to a deeper, more passionate devotion to our God. For He who calls us is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24). Our labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Rise up, O people of God! Bow down and worship Him, for He alone is worthy. Let every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10–11). Embrace the brevity of life, and let it fuel your zeal for His Kingdom.
